A tiny part that protects your accuracy
The inner barrel lock clip is one of the smallest components in an AEG, but it does an important job. It seats into the groove on the inner barrel and locks that barrel firmly into the hop-up chamber. Without it, or with a worn one, the barrel can rotate and shift the hop, and your groupings open up. Stops the barrel twisting loose
Barrels most often work loose when you screw on a flash hider, mock suppressor or barrel extension. The lock clip holds the barrel steady against that twisting force, so your muzzle devices go on and off without knocking the hop out of alignment.
