A complete, ready-to-run V2 gearbox

The ASG Ultimate Version 2 gearbox is a complete, full-metal assembly from ASG’s Ultimate Upgrade Series, built to replace a tired or damaged gearbox in M4, M16 and SR16 style AEGs. Rather than rebuilding a worn shell, this drops in a fresh, reinforced unit designed to take upgrades and abuse.

Built to take stress

The shell is cast in high-strength material and runs high-performance 8mm steel bearings that stand up to heavy loads. Anti-rotation taps in the shell help prevent the case twisting under pressure, and the assembly includes a metal spring guide and an enhanced tappet plate for reliable feeding.

Power and wiring

The included M120 spring lets the rifle produce around 400 fps on 0.20g BBs, depending on barrel length and air seal. The gearbox is rear-wired, so it suits rifles running the battery in the stock or buffer tube. If your site enforces a lower limit, the spring can be changed to suit.

Professional installation

Fitting a complete gearbox, setting motor height and sorting wiring is a workshop task. Our airsoft repair service in Kent can install and test it, and you can add springs, batteries and internals from our airsoft accessories range.

What power does the M120 spring produce?

The included M120 spring gives roughly 400 fps on 0.20g BBs, though the exact figure depends on your barrel length and air seal. If your site has a lower limit, you may need to swap to a softer spring such as an M95.

Why 8mm bearings?

The 8mm steel bearings support the gears under high stress far better than 6mm bushings, which improves reliability and durability, especially in upgraded or higher-power builds.

Is it rear-wired or front-wired?

This gearbox is rear-wired, making it ideal if you run your battery in the rear stock or buffer tube. If your rifle is set up for front wiring, you would need to rewire it to suit.
