Proper bore care

Bisley Bore Cleaner is specially formulated to remove gunpowder deposits from firearms and keep the bore in top condition. It lifts nitro and black powder fouling along with metallic residue that builds up after shooting, so your gun stays clean and ready for smooth, fast action.

Cleans and protects

As well as cleaning, the formula lifts moisture and lays down a rust-inhibiting film that helps prevent corrosion during storage. That dual action protects your investment and keeps the bore in reliable working order between sessions.

What is in it

It is a blend of hydrocarbon solvent, mineral oil, a film-forming corrosion preventative and additives, giving a clear brown liquid with a mild petroleum odour. Handle it away from ignition sources and heat above 40 degrees C.

Important note

This is a firearm bore cleaner and is not suitable for use on air pistols or airsoft replicas. For gun care and shooting accessories, see our shooting sports range.

Frequently asked questions

What does Bisley Bore Cleaner do?

It removes nitro and black powder deposits and metallic fouling from the bore, lifts moisture and lays down a rust-inhibiting film to protect against corrosion during storage.

Can I use it on airsoft replicas or air pistols?

No. This is a solvent-based firearm bore cleaner and is not suitable for use on airsoft replicas or air pistols. Use a dedicated silicone-based product for those.

How do I apply it?

Apply to a cleaning patch or brush and pass it through the bore to lift fouling, then run a clean patch through. It leaves a protective film ready for storage.

Does it protect against rust?

Yes. As well as cleaning, it forms a corrosion-preventative film and disperses water, helping guard your firearm against rust between uses.

Is it safe to store?

Keep it away from sources of ignition and temperatures above 40 degrees C, and store it sealed and out of reach of children, in line with the safety data sheet.
