The Highlander Deluxe Map Compass is a proper baseplate compass built for real map work, not a novelty. The clear acrylic and ABS baseplate lets you sight through it onto your map, take a bearing and follow it with confidence, whether you are on a Kent hillside, a woodland airsoft site or a DofE expedition.

Made for UK maps

Both 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 roamer scales are printed on the baseplate, matching the two standard Ordnance Survey scales. A 120mm scale ruler and a magnifying lens help you measure distances and read grid references accurately, while graduations in 2, 10 and 20 degree steps let you set precise bearings.

Ready when the light drops

A luminous needle tip and marked cardinal points keep the compass usable as the light fades. At just 60g it barely registers in a pocket, and the supplied neck cord keeps it secure and always within reach.
