Built for the Tokyo Marui M4 NGRS
This FPS Softair PM05 piston is designed specifically for the Tokyo Marui M4 Next Generation Recoil System (NGRS) gearbox. The factory Marui piston uses plastic teeth that can wear or strip once you fit a heavier spring, so a metal-toothed replacement is one of the first upgrades most owners make when chasing more power or reliability.
Full metal 14-tooth rack
The piston carries a full metal rack of 14 teeth. FPS manufacture the rack using MIM (Metal Injection Moulding), a process that gives tight dimensional accuracy and strength close to solid machined parts, so the tooth engagement with the sector gear stays consistent shot after shot.
Technopolymer body
The body is moulded from loaded technopolymer, chosen for its mechanical resistance and light weight. Keeping the piston body light helps the recoil action cycle cleanly while the metal rack takes the load from the gears.
Made in Italy, Marui compatible
FPS Softair produce their upgrade parts in Italy and design them to be a direct fit for the Marui NGRS platform. It is a drop-in replacement during a gearbox service or upgrade rather than a part that needs reshaping.
Fitting note
This is an internal gearbox component intended for fitting by someone competent with airsoft gearbox work. If you are not confident stripping an NGRS gearbox, our in-house workshop can carry out the install.
