Down is one of the best insulators there is, but only when it is clean and lofting properly. Grangers Down Wash Concentrate is a powerful yet gentle cleaner made specifically for down and synthetic-fill jackets and sleeping bags. It lifts sweat, dirt and odours while protecting the delicate fill that keeps you warm.

Restores loft, no residue

Ordinary detergents leave residues that flatten down and rob it of performance. This wash rinses clean with no residue, restoring loft and reviving both warmth and breathability, so your gear performs like new for longer. It works the same whether you have hard or soft water.

Concentrated and kind to the planet

The concentrated formula means just half a capful (around 25ml) per wash, giving up to 12 washes per 300ml bottle. It is Bluesign approved and comes in a recycled plastic bottle, so it is a cleaner choice for the environment too.

Ideal before reproofing

Frequently asked questions

Why not use normal detergent on down?

Standard detergents leave residues that clog down and reduce its ability to loft, insulate and repel water. Down Wash is formulated to clean the fill without damaging it.

How much do I use per wash?

About half a capful (25ml) poured into the detergent drawer in place of your normal detergent, then wash on a full cycle at 30C or as the care label states.

Can I use it on synthetic-fill gear too?

Yes. As well as natural down it works on synthetic down fills such as those found in insulated jackets and sleeping bags.

Will it wash out my waterproofing?

No. It cleans gently, revitalises any existing water repellency and is an ideal pre-wash before applying a fresh waterproofing treatment.

How many washes will the bottle do?

The concentrated formula delivers up to 12 washes per 300ml bottle.
