The Handier Hi-Capa

The 4.3 is the shorter member of the Raven Hi-Capa family, and for a lot of players it is the more sensible one. You keep the double stack magazine, the metal build and the tightbore barrel, but lose the length that makes a 5.1 awkward to draw from a holster under a plate carrier. If you play indoors or in tight woodland, this is the one to look at first.

Capacity Where It Counts

The double stack magazine holds 25 rounds, which is a meaningful advantage over a single stack 1911 when a firefight goes long. A green gas magazine is supplied in the box, and Raven Hi-Capa CO2 magazines are available separately for winter play when green gas starts to struggle.

Accurate As Standard

Like the rest of the Raven Hi-Capa range it comes with a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel fitted from the factory. That is a genuine upgrade rather than a marketing line, and it is a large part of why these pistols shoot better than their price suggests.

1911 Feel, Modern Magazine

The grip angle and manual safety come straight from the 1911 pattern, so it will feel immediately familiar if you have shot one. The flared magwell funnels reloads in, which is the sort of detail that only matters once, at exactly the wrong moment.

Buying And Looking After It

This is a realistic imitation firearm, so you need a valid defence such as UKARA registration and you must be over 18. Stock up in our gas and BBs range, and our Rochester repair workshop can service or upgrade it. Not sure which pistol to start with? Read our best airsoft pistols guide.

Frequently asked questions

Should I buy the 4.3 or the 5.1?

The 4.3 is shorter and easier to carry and draw, which suits CQB and indoor games. The 5.1 is longer with a railed front end for a torch. Internally they are very similar, so choose on size and whether you need the rail.

How many rounds does the magazine hold?

The double stack magazine holds 25 rounds, which is noticeably more than a single stack 1911 style magazine of the same era.

Can it run CO2?

Yes. It ships with a green gas magazine and Raven Hi-Capa CO2 magazines are sold separately. CO2 is the usual answer when cold weather starts affecting green gas performance.

Does it have a tightbore barrel?

Yes, a 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel is fitted as standard rather than being an upgrade you buy later.

Do I need UKARA to buy it?

Yes. It is a black realistic imitation firearm, so a valid defence such as UKARA registration is required and you must be over 18.
