The Pistol We Sell Most Of

The Raven EU7 outsells every other airsoft pistol on our shelves, and that is the most useful thing we can tell you about it. It sits in the ninety pound bracket, which is the point where gas blowback pistols stop being novelties and start being kit you can rely on for a full skirmish day. If you are buying your first sidearm and you want to be told what to get rather than read a comparison, get this one.

How It Performs

Nuprol quote around 300 fps on Nuprol 2.0 gas with a 0.20g BB at 20C, rising to about 310 fps on Nuprol 3.0. That keeps it under the pistol limit at every UK site we know of, so you will not be having an awkward conversation at the chrono. Behind the muzzle sits a 90mm 6.03mm tightbore inner barrel and an adjustable hop up, which is a better specification than the price suggests.

Build And Handling

The top slide is aluminium alloy and the lower frame is HIPS, a rubber modified polystyrene chosen for impact resistance rather than cost. At roughly 700g empty and 800g with a gas magazine in it, the EU7 is light enough to carry all day on a drop leg without dragging on your belt. There is a 20mm rail under the barrel for a torch, and the outer barrel is threaded 12mm clockwise with an adapter available if you want to run a 14mm counter clockwise tracer unit.

Feeding It

One 23 round green gas magazine comes in the box. The Raven EU series extended magazine holds 48 rounds, and there is a CO2 version if you want more consistency in cold weather. Stock up on gas and BBs in our gas, BBs and batteries range, and if anything ever needs attention our Kent repair and servicing workshop is in the same building as the shop.

Black Or Two Tone

The black version is a realistic imitation firearm, so you need a valid defence such as UKARA registration to buy it. The blue and black two tone is exempt, which makes it one of the few genuinely good first pistols you can buy before you have played your three games. Pick the finish at the top of this page. Frequently asked questions

Do I need UKARA to buy the Raven EU7?

For the black version, yes. It is a realistic imitation firearm so you need a valid defence such as UKARA registration, and you must be over 18. The blue and black two tone version is exempt, so anyone over 18 can buy it.

What is the Raven EU7 chronographing at?

Nuprol quote around 300 fps on Nuprol 2.0 gas and about 310 fps on Nuprol 3.0, both measured with a 0.20g BB at 20C. That is inside the pistol limit at every UK site we are aware of. Bring it to our Rochester range and we will chrono it for you.

How heavy is it?

Around 700g empty and roughly 800g with a gas magazine fitted. You may see 1200g quoted elsewhere, which is the boxed weight including the magazine, manual and packaging rather than the weight in your hand.

Which magazines does it take?

It uses Raven EU series magazines. A 23 round green gas magazine is supplied, and there is a 48 round extended version and a CO2 version available separately if you want more capacity or better cold weather performance.

Can I fit a tracer unit or suppressor?

Yes. The outer barrel is threaded 12mm clockwise, and a thread adapter converts it to the more common 14mm counter clockwise standard used by most tracer units and mock suppressors.
