Authentic Mk18 Mod 1 profile

The Evolution Recon Mk18 Mod 1 10.8 inch Carbontech captures the popular Mk18 look with a 10.8 inch quad-rail handguard, built on Evolution’s light and rigid Carbontech technopolymer body. It balances a compact 70cm collapsed length with the reach for open-field engagements.

Consistent, site-legal power

Factory testing rates it at approximately 316 FPS on 0.20g BBs (+/- 10%), around 1 joule. A 6.01mm precision tightbore barrel paired with a rotary hop-up chamber delivers tight, repeatable groups downrange.

Programmable and upgradeable

A reinforced Version 2 gearbox with an ETS programmable MOSFET gives crisp trigger response and protects the internals. The 14mm CCW thread accepts suppressors and tracers, and the quick-change spring guide simplifies tuning.

UKARA required

Do I need UKARA for this Mk18?

Yes. This is a black realistic imitation firearm (RIF), so you need a valid defence such as UKARA registration to purchase it under the VCRA. Buyers must be 18 or over.

What FPS does it shoot?

Factory testing puts it at approximately 316 FPS on 0.20g BBs with a +/- 10% tolerance, around 1 joule, which is site-legal at most UK skirmish fields. Always chronograph first.

Can I fit a suppressor or tracer?

Yes. The rifle has a 14mm CCW muzzle thread, the airsoft standard, so most suppressors and tracer units will fit directly to the flash hider.

What battery does it use?

It is wired for an 11.1v LiPo battery with a Deans (T-plug) connector. A battery and charger are not usually supplied, so add these to get skirmish-ready.

Is the gearbox upgradeable?

Yes. It uses a reinforced Version 2 gearbox with an ETS programmable MOSFET and accepts standard AR-platform upgrade parts. Our Kent workshop can service or tune it for you.
