Purpose-built for pest control

The Remington Pest Controller is a full-size, full-power break-barrel spring air rifle built for vermin control and target shooting. Available in .177 (4.5mm) and .22 (5.5mm), it delivers just under the 12 ft/lb UK legal limit, enough to take rabbits, rats and squirrels cleanly at sensible ranges.

Accurate and easy to shoot

A steel precision-rifled barrel is topped with an integrated sound moderator to keep muzzle noise down, while hi-vision fibre optic front and rear sights make target acquisition quick. The rear sight is fully adjustable for windage and elevation, and the 11mm dovetail rail accepts a scope, red dot or night-vision kit.

Comfortable handling

The chequered stock gives a secure hold in wet weather and a fitted rubber recoil pad soaks up the spring’s push. A two-stage trigger and manual safety keep control firmly in your hands, shot after shot.

Do I need a licence to buy this air rifle?

No. As a sub-12 ft/lb air rifle it needs no firearm certificate in England and Wales, but you must be 18 or over to purchase it.

Should I choose .177 or .22?

The .177 shoots flatter and is great for target work and smaller pests, while the .22 hits harder at close range for larger garden vermin such as rabbits and squirrels.

Does it come with a scope?

The base rifle uses its fibre optic open sights. It is grooved with an 11mm dovetail, so you can add a scope, red dot or NV kit of your choice.

Is it powerful enough for pest control?

Yes. It produces close to the 12 ft/lb limit, enough to humanely take rabbits, rats and squirrels at sensible ranges when shot placement is good.

Does it need running in?

Like most spring air rifles it benefits from a running-in period. Expect it to settle and quieten after the first 100 to 150 pellets.
