The Licensed One
Most airsoft pistols at any price are clones. The Proforce P320 X-Carry is not. It is built by VFC under licence from Sig Sauer, carries the real trademarks, and is dimensioned to match the pistol it is named after. That is the whole reason it sits at the top of our pistol range rather than in the middle of it, and it is what people are actually buying when they ask us for something better than a ninety pound sidearm.
What X-Carry Means
The P320 is a modular pistol, and X-Carry is the carry length configuration: a little shorter than the full size gun at around 193mm overall, with the X-Series grip module and its extended beavertail. It is not a subcompact. It is the size most people actually want on a belt, which is why it has become the popular choice of the P320 family for airsoft.
Optics Ready As Standard
The slide is cut for a reflex sight from the factory, so you can fit the Sig Air Reflex directly without a mounting plate or a gunsmith. On a gas pistol that is genuinely unusual at any price, and it is the single feature that most often decides it for people who come in undecided. Three dot white iron sights are fitted for when you would rather not run glass.
Running It
It feeds 6mm BBs from a 21 round magazine on green gas, and it will also run Sig Proforce M17 and M18 magazines, including CO2 ones, so spares are easy. Published velocity figures vary between roughly 280 and 340 fps on a 0.20g BB depending on gas and temperature, which is why we will not print a single number. Bring it to our indoor range in Rochester and we will put it over the chrono so you know exactly what yours does.
Buying It
This is a realistic imitation firearm, so you need a valid defence such as UKARA registration and you must be over 18. Keep it fed from our gas and BBs range, and if it ever needs attention our Kent servicing workshop is on site. Weighing up your options? Our guide to the best airsoft pistols puts it in context against the rest of the range.
