Overview

The ASG Ultimate Upgrade Series V3 Tappet Plate is a reinforced replacement for the plastic tappet plate inside Version 3 airsoft AEG gearboxes. It carries the air nozzle forward and back to chamber each BB, making it a critical part for reliable, jam-free feeding.

Why upgrade

The nozzle arm on a standard tappet plate is prone to flexing, wearing and cracking, which shows up as misfeeds and double-feeds. This Ultimate plate is produced from the same heat-resistant reinforced polymer as the rest of the ASG Ultimate range, so it holds up to the extra stress of upgraded springs and higher rates of fire.

Fitment and compatibility

It is designed for Version 3 gearboxes, the platform used in AK and G36 series replicas and many similar designs. Confirm your rifle runs a V3 shell before ordering, as the V2 plate is not interchangeable.

Fitting and servicing

Fitting requires a complete gearbox strip and correct nozzle timing, so it is ideal to combine with a service. Our airsoft repair and servicing team in Kent can handle the work for you. Explore more airsoft accessories and parts while you build.

Which gearbox does this tappet plate fit?

It is made for the Version 3 (Ver.3) gearbox. It will not fit Version 2 shells, which use a different tappet plate profile.

Which rifles use a V3 gearbox?

Version 3 gearboxes are found in AK and G36 series replicas, as well as many G39, SIG and support-weapon platforms from brands such as CYMA, JG, LCT and Tokyo Marui.

What does the tappet plate actually do?

It links to the air nozzle and, driven by the sector gear, slides the nozzle forward and back to feed a fresh BB into the hop-up on every cycle.

Is it stronger than the original part?

Yes. It is moulded from heat-resistant reinforced polymer designed to resist the wear and heat produced by stronger springs and faster firing than the stock plate.
