Genuine Vorsk VMP baseplate
The baseplate is the removable base of your Vorsk VMP gas magazine. It closes off the gas reservoir and houses the fill valve that you charge the magazine through, so it is central to how the mag holds and takes on gas. This is the genuine Vorsk replacement, sized correctly for a direct fit.
When to replace it
Magazine baseplates take a lot of abuse. They get knocked during fast reloads, dropped on hard ground, and scuffed in kit boxes. A cracked, chipped or worn baseplate can stop the fill valve from seating correctly, which leads to gas leaks when you try to charge the mag. Fitting a fresh plate puts that right.
How the fill works
On the VMP magazine the fill valve lives on the baseplate. To charge the mag you invert it and index your green gas can onto the valve on the base. A sound baseplate keeps that valve aligned for a clean, leak-free fill every time.
