What the ASTER V2 Basic does
The GATE ASTER is a 4th-generation AEG control system, a programmable MOSFET that drops into a Version 2 gearbox to transform trigger response, protect your electronics and unlock tuning options. This is the rear-wired Basic firmware edition: the sensible-cost route into GATE’s ecosystem for players who want reliability and a crisp trigger without a long feature list.
Optical sensors and active brake
Rather than a mechanical trigger contact, the ASTER uses built-in optical sensors that monitor the gear cam, trigger and selector positions, with up to 250 trigger-sensitivity settings. Its adaptive active brake stops the piston consistently for a responsive trigger and precise semi-auto shots.
Protection built in
The smart fuse protects your battery, motor and the controller itself, even in the event of a reverse battery connection. A conformal coating to military specification MIL-V-173C guards the board against damp, dust and atmospheric conditions, so it survives a wet skirmish day.
Programmable your way
Configure it simply through the trigger with the included card, or add a USB-Link or Blu-Link and use GATE’s GCS app. The Basic firmware still unlocks burst mode, pre-cocking boost, battery protection and diagnostics. Voltage range runs from 3V up to 12.75V (11.1V LiPo), with a 17V absolute maximum.
