The nozzle return spring is a small part with a big job. Every time your Raven 1911 or MEU cycles, this spring returns the nozzle assembly forward so the next BB chambers and feeds correctly. It is listed as part number 11 on the exploded diagram, and like any spring it fatigues over time.
Fix short stroking and weak action
When the return spring weakens you will notice the slide failing to return fully, short stroking, misfeeds or a generally sluggish action, especially in colder weather. Swapping in a fresh spring is one of the cheapest ways to bring a tired gas blowback back to snappy, dependable performance.
