What The Hop Chamber Actually Does
The hop chamber holds the hop rubber against the BB and applies the backspin that makes an airsoft gun shoot flat rather than dropping away at twenty metres. It is the single most important part in the gun for accuracy, and it is also the part most likely to be a cheap moulding on a budget AEG.
When To Replace One
Chambers crack, and worn ones lose their grip on the barrel and the rubber, which shows up as shots wandering left and right for no obvious reason, or as a hop setting that will not stay put between games. If you have chased inconsistency through barrels and BBs and got nowhere, the chamber is usually where the problem was.
What We Cannot Tell You
Rocket do not publish a detailed sheet for this part, so we are not going to list compatibility beyond M4 and M16 pattern, and we will not claim what is in the box. Ring the shop with your gun and we will check it against one on the shelf.
