Torque where it counts

The SHS 100:300 Low Noise High Torque Gear Set is a serious internal upgrade for builds that run heavy springs. The high torque-up ratio gives the motor the mechanical advantage it needs to cycle M150 to M180 springs, making it a favourite for DMRs and high-power rifles where reliable spring compression matters more than raw rate of fire.

Built from tough materials

Each gear is CNC-machined from steel and finished in a molybdenum chrome alloy for high strength and resistance to deformation. That durability is exactly what a high-stress, high-power gearbox demands over a full skirmish season.

Quieter by design

The helical tooth profile meshes progressively rather than slamming tooth-to-tooth like straight-cut gears. The result is a noticeably smoother, quieter cycle, cutting the grind and whine that poorly matched gears produce.

Fit it right

Gears live or die by their shimming and engagement angle, so we recommend installation by an experienced technician only. Our Tech-It workshop can fit and tune these for you. Browse more airsoft parts and accessories or arrange fitting through our repair service.

Frequently asked questions

What does a 100:300 ratio actually do?

A high torque-up ratio like 100:300 trades rate of fire for pulling power. It lets the motor cycle heavier springs more easily, which is exactly what you want in DMR and high-FPS builds running M150 to M180 springs.

Will these gears fit my gearbox?

They are designed for standard Version 2 and Version 3 AEG gearboxes, which cover most M4, MP5, AK and G36 style replicas. Confirm your gearbox version before ordering.

Are helical gears really quieter?

Yes. The helical tooth profile meshes more gradually than straight-cut gears, which reduces the whine and grind of a cycling gearbox for a smoother, quieter shot.

Should I fit these myself?

We strongly recommend fitting by an experienced or qualified technician. Gears must be correctly shimmed and the angle of engagement set properly; incorrect installation can cause damage or failure not covered by warranty.

Can Platoon Stores install these for me?

Yes. Our Tech-It upgrade and maintenance service can fit and shim these gears correctly for most airsoft rifles. Contact the store or see our repair and upgrade service for details.
