Reliable trigger contact, restored

The trigger switch is where every shot begins, and a worn one shows up as misfires, dead triggers and stuttering full auto. The SHS V2 Trigger Switch is a clean, robust replacement for the contacts in Version 2 gearboxes, getting M4, M16 and similar AEGs firing crisply again.

Built for the heat of the gearbox

Made from high temperature polymer, it is designed to cope with the arcing and heat cycles that kill cheaper switches. That means fewer misfires and more consistent semi and full auto over a long skirmish season.

A smart, low-cost upgrade

Whether you are servicing a well-used rifle or building a project gun from the shell up, a fresh trigger switch is one of the cheapest ways to improve reliability. Pair it with a MOSFET to protect the contacts and extend their life even further on hot builds.

Fit it yourself or let us do it

Fitting requires opening the gearbox, so it suits intermediate techs. If you would rather leave it to a professional, our Kent airsoft repair and Tech-It service can install and test it. Browse more airsoft parts and accessories to complete your build.

Frequently asked questions

Which gearboxes does this fit?

It is made for Version 2 AEG gearboxes, which cover M4, M16 and many similar rifle platforms. Check that your replica runs a V2 gearbox before ordering.

What problem does a new trigger switch fix?

Over time the trigger contacts wear, pit or burn, causing misfires and inconsistent trigger response. A fresh switch restores clean electrical contact for reliable semi and full auto.

Do I need any tech experience to fit it?

Yes, some. Replacing the switch means opening the gearbox, so it suits players who are comfortable with a basic gearbox strip or who use a technician.

Should I fit a MOSFET at the same time?

It is worth considering. A MOSFET protects the trigger contacts from arcing and extends their life, especially on higher-powered or high rate of fire builds.

Can your workshop fit it for me?

Yes. If you would rather not open the gearbox yourself, our in-house Kent airsoft repair and Tech-It service can fit and test it for you.
