Tokyo Marui’s flagship recoil M4

The Tokyo Marui URG-I SOPMOD Block 3 is a Next Generation Recoil System (NGRS) airsoft AEG that sets the benchmark for realism. A mechanical recoil weight and moving mock bolt deliver genuine felt recoil with every shot, and the bolt locks back on an empty magazine just like the real platform.

Authentic URG-I build

It wears an 11.5in URG-I profile with a Geissele-style M-LOK handguard, a full metal alloy receiver and polymer stock and pistol grip. The muzzle carries a 14mm CCW thread ready for suppressors and flash hiders, and an adjustable dial-type hop up lets you tune range and accuracy.

Field-ready performance

Chronographing at around 280 FPS on a 0.20g BB, it sits comfortably within typical UK site limits and shoots best with quality 0.25g BBs. Safe, Semi and Full-auto fire modes are driven from a Tokyo Marui SOPMOD battery in the stock, feeding from proprietary 82-round NGRS mid-cap magazines.

As a realistic imitation firearm this rifle requires a valid VCRA defence such as UKARA registration, and you must be 18 or over. Our team can help you buy correctly. What is the Next Generation Recoil System?

NGRS is Tokyo Marui's electric recoil platform. A mechanical recoil weight cycles with each shot and the mock bolt moves, giving genuine felt recoil and a functional bolt stop that locks back when the magazine runs empty, for a very realistic shooting experience.

What FPS does it shoot and which BBs should I use?

Out of the box it runs at around 280 FPS on a 0.20g BB, within typical UK site limits. Tokyo Marui NGRS rifles perform best with quality 0.25g BBs, which many players find give the most consistent range and accuracy.

What battery and magazines does it take?

It is rear wired for a Tokyo Marui SOPMOD-type battery housed in the stock. The NGRS platform uses its own proprietary 82-round mid-cap magazines and does not accept standard AEG STANAG mags.

Can I fit a suppressor or upgrade it?

Yes. The muzzle has a 14mm CCW thread for suppressors and flash hiders, and the NGRS gearbox accepts dedicated upgrade parts such as a GATE TITAN NGRS trigger unit. Our in-house Kent workshop can service and upgrade it for you.
