Genuine Vorsk 1911 gas input valve

The gas input valve, more commonly called the fill valve, is the small one-way valve on the base of your magazine. It lets gas flow into the reservoir when you charge the mag, then seals tight to keep that gas under pressure until you shoot. It is a critical part, and when it fails your magazine simply stops working. This is the genuine Vorsk 1911 replacement.

What it fixes

A failed input valve shows itself in a few clear ways: the magazine will not take gas at all, it spits gas back at you as you try to fill it, or it charges but then leaks straight back down. Any of these means the valve can no longer seal, and a fresh one restores a clean, leak-free charge.

Fitting and filling

The valve screws into the magazine baseplate. Use the correct valve key to avoid rounding it off, and a light coat of silicone helps it seal. To charge the mag, invert it and index your green gas can onto the fill valve on the base, as with any gas blowback magazine.

Back to full service

At under seven pounds this is a cheap way to rescue a dead 1911 magazine. Stock up on green gas at the same time, or book the mag in with our Kent repair and servicing team.

Frequently asked questions

What is the input valve?

The gas input, or fill, valve is the one-way valve on the magazine base that lets gas in when you charge the mag and then seals to keep it in the reservoir.

Which magazines does it fit?

It is the correct gas input valve for Vorsk 1911 series gas blowback pistol magazines.

What are the signs it has failed?

If the mag will not take gas at all, spits gas back out as you fill it, or leaks down immediately after charging, the input valve is a likely culprit.

How do I fit it?

It screws into the magazine baseplate. Use the correct valve tool to avoid rounding it off, and lightly lubricate before fitting.

How do I fill the magazine?

As with all gas blowback mags, invert the magazine and index your green gas can onto the fill valve on the base to charge the reservoir.
