The ZCI Rotary M4 Hop Up Unit replaces the fiddly lever style adjuster found in most stock M4 and M16 AEGs with a precise rotary dial. Instead of nudging a lever and hoping it stays put, you turn a wheel for small, repeatable changes, making it far easier to fine tune your backspin for a flat, accurate flight path.

Better seal, better performance

A well designed hop chamber is central to accuracy. This unit improves the air seal around the bucking, so more of your gas or spring energy pushes the BB rather than leaking away. The result is better range, tighter grouping and more consistent shot to shot performance downrange.

Built to last

The chamber is moulded from reinforced polymer to keep weight down while resisting the stresses of skirmish use, and a metal adjustment arm pin strengthens the area that sees the most wear. A hop rubber and nub are included so you have the essentials to build the unit.

Fitting and support

What is the advantage of a rotary hop unit?

A rotary dial lets you make small, precise and repeatable changes to your hop, unlike a simple lever that can slip. That makes it far easier to dial in the perfect backspin for flat, accurate shots and to return to a known setting after adjusting.

Will this fit my M4?

It is designed as a direct replacement for the majority of M4 and M16 pattern AEG gearboxes. Fitment can vary slightly between brands, so if you are unsure, our technicians can confirm compatibility with your specific rifle.

Does it come with a hop rubber?

Yes, it is supplied with a hop rubber and nub so you have the core parts to build the unit. Many players later fit an upgraded bucking to suit their BB weight and target performance.

Can I fit this myself?

Some assembly is required and the hop unit sits inside the gearbox area, so a basic level of technical confidence helps. If you would rather not strip your rifle, we offer a fitting service so it is installed correctly first time.

Is a plastic chamber strong enough?

For standard airsoft use the reinforced polymer chamber is durable and reliable, and the metal arm pin adds strength at the key wear point. For very high power builds a full CNC aluminium chamber is the premium alternative.
