Mix and match your batteries

Upgraded to Deans batteries but your AEG or charger still wears a small Tamiya plug? This adapter bridges the gap. It has a female mini Tamiya on one end and a male Deans / T-plug on the other, so anything Tamiya-wired can run a Deans battery instantly.

No soldering required

Rewiring a gearbox to Deans means opening the gun and heating up an iron. This adapter skips all of that. Plug it into the gun, plug your Deans battery in, and you are ready to skirmish. It is the ideal stopgap when you buy new batteries before you get round to rewiring.

Built for the battery compartment

The lead uses flexible silicone-insulated wire, typically 14 to 16 AWG, which bends easily to tuck into crane stocks, buffer tubes and handguards without fighting you.

Check your polarity

What does this adapter let me do?

It lets a gun or charger that has a small male Tamiya connector accept a battery fitted with a female Deans / T-plug. Plug the adapter into the gun, then plug your Deans battery into the adapter.

Do I still need to rewire my gun?

No. That is the point of the adapter. It bridges the two connector standards so you can run Deans batteries in a Tamiya gun without touching a soldering iron.

Will an adapter reduce performance?

Every connector adds a tiny amount of resistance, so on very high-output builds a direct rewire is best. For stock and mid-tier AEGs the difference is negligible and well worth the convenience.

Should I check polarity?

Yes. Some airsoft Tamiya wiring is reverse polarity compared to RC standards. Always confirm red to red and black to black through the full chain before you fire the gun to avoid a short.
