All-weather ignition
The Fireball Grand is a dependable alternative to matches and lighters. Drawing the serrated steel striker down the magnesium alloy flint rod produces a shower of high-energy sparks hot enough to catch tinder in seconds. Because it relies on friction rather than fuel, it keeps working when wet, in the rain, in snow and at altitude, which is exactly why a good flint and striker earns its place in any kit.
Built-in button compass
Set into the moulded handle is a small liquid-filled button compass. It is not a substitute for a proper baseplate compass, but it gives you a quick emergency bearing when you need to keep a straight line or confirm a direction, adding a second survival function to a single compact tool.
Comfortable, secure design
This is the larger Grand version, with a longer flint rod for a firmer grip and plenty of strikes. The flint and striker slide and lock together into one neat unit, so the two halves stay paired in a pocket or pouch rather than rattling loose. The bright handle also makes it easier to spot if you drop it in grass or at the bottom of a pack.
