This Laylax Prometheus Hard Piston is a reinforced replacement for Tokyo Marui Next Generation Recoil Shock SCAR-L and SCAR-H rifles. The recoil action that makes these rifles so satisfying to shoot also loads the piston harder than a normal AEG, so a stronger part pays dividends in reliability.

The piston combines a reinforced polymer body with metal teeth. The polymer body keeps a little flex to soak up the shock of each cycle, while the metal teeth carry the heaviest mechanical load at the point of engagement, the exact spot where standard pistons wear and strip over time.
