Engineered for high rate of fire

The FPS Softair X-Ring piston head (code XPAVPCF) is made from carbon fibre reinforced technopolymer and built for demanding, high rate of fire builds, typically guns firing above 30 rounds per second. Its low weight of around 5.79g reduces the reciprocating mass in the gearbox, which lowers mechanical stress and cuts noise.

Viton X-ring seal

Instead of a conventional O-ring, this head ships with a Viton X-ring. The X profile means less friction as it travels through the cylinder and it traps lubricant more effectively, while Viton gives excellent chemical resistance to the oils and greases used in a gearbox.

Anti-vacuum design

The front face degrades conically towards the centre so the ventilation holes are never closed off by the cylinder head bumper. That keeps an optimal air volume between the cylinder head and piston head, providing an anti-vacuum system that avoids power loss while smoothing the cycle.

Fitting and matching parts

This is an internal component best installed during a service. Our Kent airsoft repair service can fit and tune it, and you can pair it with a matching cylinder head and piston from our airsoft accessories range.
